He was predeceased by: his parents, Elfrey Ellis and Maggie Wilson (Oaks); and his siblings, Woodrow, James, Ellis, Elza, Henry, Howard Wilson, Millie Morris and Margaret Jobe.

He is survived by: his wife Frances Wilson of Springfield; his children, Carol Wilson of Springfield, Cheryl Formea (Dan) of Springfield, Lynda Wilson of Springfield and John Wilson (Michelle) of Windsor, IL; and his grandchildren, Ryan Wilson (Christi), Amy Carr, Kymberly Eades, Jason Wilson, Tia Wilson, Brian Wilson (Chelsea), Brett Wilson, Dylan Smith (Shelby) and Nick Smith (Kait). He is also survived by many great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
