It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Harold L. Payne of Springfield, Illinois, who passed away on February 27, 2026, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Payne and Lucille Payne (Hess); and his wife Cherie Guimard. He is survived by: his children, Chad R. Payne of Springfield and Rachel Voyles (Jason) of New Berlin; his grandchildren, Bryce Barnes (Taylor), Farrah Barnes and Ryker Barnes; his great grandchild Gatlin Barnes; and his siblings, Diane Casper (Jerry) of Rochester and Todd Payne of Springfield. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
