Harry Lee Courtney Sr. Obituary

We are sad to announce that, on September 9, 2022, at the age of 89, Harry Lee Courtney Sr. of Springfield, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, John William Edward and Nellie Ethel Courtney (South); his wife Regina Courtney (Leach); his former wife Margaret Rose Courtney (Bineham); and his son Steven Eugene Courtney.

He is survived by: his children, Harry Lee Courtney, Jr. (Marian Graham) of Ellabell, GA, Cherie Courtney-Price (Andrew Walden) of Standard City and Kevin Courtney (Christina Houston) of Columbus, OH; his grandchildren, David, Dallas, Helen McBroom (Branden) and Christina; his great grandchild Scotland Courtney; and his brother John Edward Courtney of Riverton. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Eastview Baptist Church.
