It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Hazel June Flood (Springfield, Illinois), born in Alton, Illinois, who passed away on March 31, 2023, at the age of 101, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Guy Friend and Irene Friend (Fessler); her former spouse Thomas Dale Heavisides; her husband John Flood; her daughter Carol Lefevre; her siblings, Walter Friend and Betty Wood; and her stepson Robert Flood.
She is survived by: her children, Thomas Heavisides (Lindy) of Springfield, Caren Melton (Bruce) of Petersburg, IL and Christina Mayes of Springfield; her stepdaughter Collette James (George) of Springfield; and her siblings, Russel, Shirley Burdinsky of Taylorville, IL and Donna Kuchar of Springfield, IL. She is also survived by fourteen grandchildren, twenty six great grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
