It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Herman C Kim of Springfield, Illinois, who passed away on October 23, 2025, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Kim Myung Young and Sohn Myung Sook. He is survived by: his sister Sun Sil; his wife Sunsook; his children, Jeana, Judy and Susan; and his grandchildren, Zoe, Charlie, Hannah and Verity. He is also survived by 10 nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 7th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Ridgewood Memorial Park (9900 N Milwaukee Ave, Des Plaines, IL 60016). A celebration of life was held on Friday, November 7th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location. A committal service was held on Friday, November 7th 2025 from 11:15 AM to 11:45 AM at the same location.
