He was predeceased by: his parents, Ruth Mitchell Hinds and Hubert H "Hank" Hinds; his siblings, Tracy Allen Hinds and Ruth Albert; and his brother-in-law Raymond McGill.
He is survived by: his wife Margaret Barger; his children, Heather Dickerson (Scott) of Springfield and Luke Hinds (Libby) of Springfield; his brothers, George Hinds of Springfield and James "Jim" Hinds of Springfield; his grandchildren, Dylan Dickerson, Kayla Dickerson, Parker Hinds and Jackson Hinds; and his siblings-in-law, Catherine McGill, Tanette Hinds and Bob Albert. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and many cousins.
A private graveside will be held at Camp Butler National Cemetery and memorial contributions can be made to the Northender's VFW Post 10302.
