He was predeceased by: his parents, Hobart Muncy and Marcella Muncy; his sons, Timothy and Andrew Muncy; and his sister-in-law Shirley Lanphier.

He is survived by: his wife Joan Rodrick; his children, Thomas Muncy (Julie) and Rachel Muncy Bonney (J. P.); his grandchildren, Kirsten Muncy Marino (Jason), Jacob Schaddel, Emma Schaddel, Sarah Muncy, James Muncy, Rebecca Muncy, Simon Bonney and Corinne Cowhick; his nieces, Debbie Fritch and Becky Reid; and his nephew Jim Orr.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-9959, Tunnels to Tower Foundation, 2361 Hylan Blvd., Staten Island, NY 10306, or Cherry Hills Church, 2125 Woodside Road, Springfield IL 62711.
