He is survived by: his parents, David Bruce and Helena Weller of Springfield; his stepmother Beverly Bruce of Springfield; his siblings, Susan Watkins of Springfield, David Bruce, Jr. of Springfield, Christopher Bruce of Springfield and Ronald Curtis, Jr. of Jacksonville; his nephew Tyler Bruce; his grandmother Thelma Harms; and his close friend Joanna Stevens of Springfield.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Hope Presbyterian Church (3000 Lenhart Rd, Springfield, IL 62711).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made the American Cancer Society.
