He was predeceased by: his parents, James M. Johnston and Margaret Johnston (Birch); and his son Benjamin Rudin. He is survived by: his wife Pam (Schmidt); his sons, Ryan Johnston (Rebecca) and Christopher Rudin (Allison); his daughter-in-law Rebecca Rudin; his grandchildren, Eli, Liam, Aspen Rudin, Landon and Evan Hagerman; and his brother Don Johnston (Sue). He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Baha'i Faith or Springfield Art Association.
