He was predeceased by: his parents, George E. Mayfield, Sr. and Sophie Mayfield (Ratkie); and his siblings, Irene Metz, Judy Teater, William and George Mayfield.
He is survived by: his children, Mary Dellert (Dave) of Sherman, Michelle Sorenson (Tim) of Springfield, James Mayfield, Jr. (Beth) of Springfield, Michael Mayfield of Springfield, John Mayfield (Keri) of Springfield, Anthony Mayfield (Shelley) of Springfield and Matthew Mayfield (Addie) of Chatham; his grandchildren, Kayleigh Martin (Mark), Alison Mayfield, Nicholas Dellert, Hannah Mayfield, Claire Schuette (Jacob), Sammy Mayfield, Janie Sorenson, Zachary Dellert, Julia Mayfield, Dan Sorenson, Maddie Mayfield, Sophie Mayfield, Andrew Sorenson, Annah Mayfield, Jacob Mayfield, Ryan Mayfield and Rowen Mayfield; and his great grandchild Maren Martin. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
