He was predeceased by: his parents, Philip J. Durkin and Valada V. Durkin (Perry); and his sisters, Genevieve Followell, Phyllis Tinsley and Patricia Groth.
He is survived by: his wife Doris J. O'Neil; his children, Robert Durkin of Springfield, Philip Durkin (Jen) of Auburn, Marty Allen (Kim) of Lexington, KY, Jenni Wright (Jeff) of Taylorville, April Casey (Mike) of Rochester, Andrea Strawn (Matt) of Rochester and Julie Patterson (Tim) of Pawnee; and his sister Helen Renfrow (Todd). He is also survived by 20 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
