He was predeceased by: his parents, Marion Clanton and Rosemary Delores Clanton (Carnahan); his brother Steve Clanton; and his nephew Scott Clanton. He is survived by: his wife Geraldine "Gerry" Hurst; his son James Clanton (Jamie); his grandchildren, Megan Hughes (Damien), Jeff Clanton (Abby) and Eric Clanton (Robyn); and his child Mikey Greenwood.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 14th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Third Presbyterian Church (1030 N 7th St, Springfield, IL 62702). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 14th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
