The passing of James F. Hamilton of Springfield, Illinois leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on November 3, 2025 at the age of 73. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman H. Hamilton and Mildred Hamilton (Tribble); his brother Dennis Hamilton, Sr.; his grandparents, Fred, Ethel Tribble, Dennis and Virginia O'Leary; his first love Diane; and his pet Chewy.
He is survived by: his children, Sarah Head (Jason), James Hamilton, Jessica Childers and Megan Childers; his grandchildren, Abbagail Roberts, Emily Head, Lillian Head and Quinci Childers; his sister Patricia Jackson (Fred); and his close friend Mary Jane Childers. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 11th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Vancil-Murphy Funeral Home (437 S Grand Ave W, Springfield, IL 62704). A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, November 11th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location.
