James T. Nemecek Obituary

With sadness, we share the passing of James T. Nemecek of Springfield, Illinois. James, born on October 20, 1939, passed away on October 11, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, James Edward and Anna Denardo Nemecek; and his son James T. Nemecek, Jr.. He is survived by: his children, Jackie Burnett (Drew) of Springfield, Jill McCamant (Scott) of Springfield, Jennifer Hughes (Russ) of Springfield, Jolene McBride (Steve) of Springfield and Jeff Nemecek (Missy) of Springfield; his grandchildren, Austin Friedmeyer (Gabby), Nicholas Friedmeyer, Ava Hughes, Alaina Hughes, James Nemecek, Aubrey McCamant, Jackson McBride, Emmett McBride and Ryne McBride; and his great grandchild Kai Friedmeyer.

A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Staab Funeral Home - Springfield (1109 S 5th St, Springfield, IL 62703). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.

Memorial contributions may be made to Boy Scout Troop #53.
