He was predeceased by: his parents, James Vincent and Enez Birkett (Beach); and his brother Richard. He is survived by: his children, Lisa (Jeff Coyle), Tom (Kathy Birkett) and Jim (Michelle Birkett); his grandchildren, Matt (Emily Coyle), Ben (Lizzie Coyle), Sam Coyle, Abby Birkett, Ally (Ethan Wagner), Ana Birkett and Jake Birkett; and his great grandchildren, Charlotte "Charlie" Coyle and Calvin Coyle.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, October 27th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Oak Ridge Cemetery (310 S Calhoun St, West Liberty, IA 52776).
