With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Janet Ann Carey of Springfield, Illinois, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Janet Ann left this world on September 21, 2025 at the age of 76, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Bernard A. Dressendorfer and Marjorie Dressendorfer (Bishop); her siblings, Karen Kay Conley, Henry E. and James M. Dressendorfer; and her son Marc E. Carey.
She is survived by: her husband Raymond Carey; and her sons, Michael L. Slater Jr. (Lisa) of Sherman, IL, William Scott Slater of Sherman, IL and Brian P. Carey of Bloomington, IL. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 26th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the West Side Christian Church (2850 Cider Mill Ln, Springfield, IL 62702). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 26th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
