Jean Berg Simhauser Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Jean Berg Simhauser of Springfield, Illinois, who passed away on January 25, 2021 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, John M. Melvin and Kathryn Melvin (Mallon); her former husband Albert G. Berg; her husband Walter J. Simhauser; her siblings, John "Bill" W. Melvin and Carol Sue Melvin; and her sister-in-law June McCabe.

She is survived by: her children, Brian Berg of New Berlin, Kathy Crider (Richard) of Maumelle, AR, Karen Schmidt (Carl) of Kirkwood, MO and Melanie Berg of Kirkwood, MO; her stepson Val Simhauser of Springfield; her grandchildren, Ali Berg, Anna Schmidt, Nate Schmidt, Kyle Crider and Adam Crider; and her sister Mary Kathryn Cullen of Edwardsville. She is also survived by several step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.
