He was predeceased by: his parents, Troy Johnson and Helen Johnson (Bice); his wife Carol A. Johnson; and his sister Barbara. He is survived by: his children, Sara Neuger (Howard) of Chatham, IL, Karin Grisdale of Fulshear, TX and Kent Johnson (Paula) of Amherst, NH; his stepchildren, Mya Burns (Dan) of Aurora, CO and Cindy Dutton (Jeff) of Highlands Ranch, CO; his grandchildren, Julianna Neuger, Michael Neuger, Lee Grisdale (Melissa), Meredith Kidd (Blake), Jenna Johnson, Jacob Johnson, Allison Sadler, Mallory Sadler, Zoe Lang (Scott) and Colin Dutton; and his brother Richard Johnson. He is also survived by six great grandchildren.
