He is survived by: his wife Frances Hayes; his children, Malika Hayes of Douglas, GA, Mecca Hayes of Springfield, IL., Jesse Hayes II of Springfield, IL., Calvin Austin of Springfield, IL., Larry Austin (Christa) of Springfield, IL., Yenetta Tolefree (Eric) of Springfield, IL. and Maxine Austin of Springfield, IL.; and his siblings, Larry Hayes (Mamie) of Decatur, Toni Rawls of Decatur, IL, Ora Jelks of Decatur, IL, Dorothy Bates (Charles) of Decatur, IL and Shirley Montgomery (Richard) of Gardena, CA.. He is also survived by nineteen grandchildren and twenty-nine great-grandchildren, along with a host of nieces and nephews.
