It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jo Ann Rowden of Springfield, Illinois, born in Virden, Illinois, who passed away on June 1, 2022, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, John Sargent and Mary Jane Bostic Sargent; her grandson George Bisby; her great grandchild William Butler; and her siblings, George, John, Gary, Sharon, Connie and Mary.

She is survived by: her daughters, Elizabeth "Betsy" Bisby of Springfield, Penny Unthank (Chuck) of Auburn and Charlene Bechtel (George) of Springfield; and her sisters, Judy Brest of Springfield and Joyce Sargent of Springfield. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild.

Memorial contributions may be made to Eastview Baptist Church, 2277 E. Black Avenue, Springfield, IL 62702.
