We announce the death of JoAnn Harlow of Springfield, Illinois, who passed away on September 14, 2026, at the age of 93. JoAnn will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. JoAnn will be remembered for the impact she had on the lives of those around her. Friends, family, and colleagues will cherish their memories and the time shared. Those who knew JoAnn will remember moments of kindness, warmth, and presence. Though words cannot fully capture her life, the legacy of connections and experiences remains. JoAnn’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued her companionship.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ralph Monroe and Alice Marie Herron (Johnson); her husband Jerald L. Harlow; her son Michael Harlow; and her brother Richard Herron.
She is survived by: her children, Jerry Harlow (Pam) of Springfield, Beth Guikema (Steve) of Springfield and Mary Routley (Jon) of Dubuque, IA. She is also survived by nine grandchildren; and seventeen great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, September 21st 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Staab Funeral Home - Sherman (2626 E Andrew Rd, Sherman, IL 62684). A funeral service will be held on Monday, September 21st 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
