He was predeceased by : his parents, John and Marie Klit. He is survived by : his wife Toni Horsefield; his sons, John E. Klint (Allison) of Springfield and Jerad A. Klint (Sherrie) of Elburn; his grandchildren, Katie, Joey, Abby and Brooke Klint; and his sister Carol Wigans (Allen) of Newton, Iowa. He is also survived by 1 niece, 2 nephews and 14 cousins.

Visitation was held on Friday, April 19th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Grace Lutheran Church (714 E Capitol Ave, Springfield, IL 62701). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 19th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
