He was predeceased by: his parents, William A. Brandt and Stella L. Brandt (Heppner); his wife Elly; and his brother Robert Brandt. He is survived by: his sons, Scott Brandt of Sherman, Todd Brandt (Karen) of Naperville and Mark Brandt (Julie) of Lemont; his grandchildren, Lauren Clapper (Drew), Elliott, Erika, John, Jenna, Charlie and Ellery Brandt; and his sister-in-law Joan Brandt. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 8th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:45 PM at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church (500 S Sherman Blvd, Sherman, IL 62684). A memorial service will be held on Sunday, March 8th 2026 at 4:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, March 13th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Memorial Park Cemetery (9900 Gross Point Rd, Skokie, IL 60076).
