He was predeceased by: his parents, William Cletus Pfister and Ruth Walton Pfister; his former wife Jan Moser Pfister; his siblings, William Joseph Pfister and Elaine Wilson; and his daughters, Janit Mahoney and Paula Pfister.
He is survived by: his wife Becky Pfister (Reese) of Tulsa; his sisters, Barbara Lanham of Springfield, IL, Mary Lou Blakenship of Ridgway, IL, Anita Wargel of Ridgway, IL and Janet Dickey of Springfield, IL; his daughter Stephanie Collins of Tulsa; his stepsons, Michael Covey Jr. (Carla) of Tulsa and Kris Covey (Nicole) of Cypress, TX; his grandchildren, Justen Gilbert, Nathan Gilbert, Blake Gilbert (Emily), Derek VanHooser (Kandyz), Lerinda Pfister and Maretta Pfister; and his stepgrandchildren, Reese Covey, Peyton Covey and Kendall Covey. He is also survived by 7 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to either the Alzheimer's Association, the American Heart Association, or Heritage United Methodist Church.
