He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert and Barbara; his wife Brenda Hammann; his son Scott Hammann; and his brother David Hammann.

He is survived by: his daughter Lisa Hammann of Springfield; and his siblings, Susan Stewart (Donald) of Chatham, Mary Ann Sexton (Sam) of Staunton, Norma Jean Sprague of Urbana and Stephen Hammann (Marty) of Carlinville. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
