He is survived by: his wife Barbara Ellen Zabel; his children, David Klintworth (Dawn) and Michelle Klintworth (Silvio "Tony" Galassi); his grandchildren, Alexander Klintworth (Megan), Abigail Klintworth, Madison Tighe (John Paul "JP"), Elliott, Dominic Galassi (Kaytlyn) and Jacob Galassi (Gabrielle); and his great grandchildren, Zoey, Norah Klintworth, Carsen and Oliver Galassi.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Bisch Funeral Home West (2931 S Koke Mill Rd, Springfield, IL 62711).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. John's Lutheran Church in Springfield or Lutheran Child and Family Services.
