He was predeceased by: his parents, Earline Madison and Arthur Hart; and his brothers, Garrick, Alan and Earl (Myrna).
He is survived by: his wife Myrna (Phelps); his son Karl Arthur Augustus Madison; his daughter-in-law Lindsey Madison (Pallas); his grandson Kash Madison; his siblings, Juanita Jones (Madison) and Lester Madison; and his nieces and nephews, Dameon, Lester (Terry), Brian Madison, Tara and Pamela Madison.
A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, November 14th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Vancil-Murphy Funeral Home (437 S Grand Ave W, Springfield, IL 62704). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 14th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Easy Does It (514 N Walnut St, Springfield, IL 62702).
