She was predeceased by: her parents, Hugh Byers and Dulcie Byers (Godsey); her husband Fred Sherwood; her siblings, Beaulah Pence (LaVerne), Jenette Pence (Raymond), Hughetta Hull (Keith), Beryl Colliver (Carl), Frances Petersen (John), Nell Mutter (Harry), Willa Covert (Duane) and Dale Bunch (Marjorie); her brother-in-law Richard Brandon; and her nephews, Michael Brandon and Bill Mutter.
She is survived by: her children, Denise Sherwood of Atlanta, Missouri and Rase Sherwood (Amy) of Springfield, Illinois; her grandchildren, Kaytlin Sherwood and Rase Sherwood Jr. of Springfield, Illinois; her sister Norma Brandon of Springfield, Illinois; and her brother-in-law Everett Cox (Bonita) of Sanford. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
A memorial fund has been established for the Illinois Chapter of the Alzheimer Association.
