With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Kay F. Avey-Hampsmier of Springfield, Illinois, who passed away on February 7, 2022 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Marion Ealy and Alice Ealy (Skaggs); and her husband David Hampsmier. She is survived by: her sister Susan Goyen (Duane) of Springfield. She is also survived by two step-daughters; four step grandchildren; and many cousins.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Shriner's Hospital for Children or the Animal Protective league.
