He was predeceased by: his parents, James Elmer and Helen Sexton (Gudgel); his wife Josie Appel; and his siblings, Norma Allgood, David, Russell and Jim.
He is survived by: his children, Dawn Courier of Auburn, IL, Brenda Schrader of Springfield, IL, Wayne Sexton (Peggy) of New Springfield, IL and Jeff Sexton (Kathy) of New Berlin, IL.
