Kent Capps Obituary

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Kent Capps of Springfield, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 22, 2025 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph H. Capps and Margaret Capps (Miller). He is survived by: his wife Karolyn Capps of Springfield; his sons, Stephen Capps (Jasmine) of Frisco, TX and David Capps (Melanie) of Chatham, IL.; his grandchildren, Nicholas (Nadia), Kaitlin (Alex), Tyler, Hannah (Matt), Logan (Paulina), Michael, Evan, Mya and Zakary; and his great grandchild Madeline.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: First United Methodist Church in Springfield.
