He was predeceased by: his parents, Horace Spencer Sr. and Delores Brown Spencer; his brothers, Horace Spencer Jr., Bruce Spencer and Gregory Spencer; and his siblings' children, Yalondra Pettis and Gregory Spencer Jr..

He is survived by: his son Tavious Spencer; his granddaughter Hailey Powell; his sisters, Deborah Williams and Bessie Spencer-Wells; and his siblings' children, Tracy English (Joe), Lisa Spencer, Lovie Faine (Reco), Tanisha Gant, Kiswai Broomfield (Jamel), Lakisha Thomas (Taurance), Tara Gillespie, Zina Spencer and Dante Shelton Sr. (Elise). He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins, great nieces and nephews and other family members and friends.
