We are sad to announce that, on October 23, 2025, at the age of 80, Larry W. Hayes of Springfield, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Wesley V. Hayes and Dora M. Hayes (Mayes); and his sisters, Kathy Brockman, Leona Hedrick Buchanan and Doris Laing.

He is survived by: his wife Karen Kay Bailey; his children, David Hayes (Debbie), Mark Hayes (Robin), Scott Hayes, Joey Hayes (Jenny) and Natalie Drendel (Brandon); and his brother Vernon "Bud" Hayes (Patti). He is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to American Cancer Society.
