He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

“Larry was a one of a kind. I have known him for many, many, years. When I worked at Kent's IGA on Wabash, he would frequent it often. I played with Larry in many sports. Both on his team, and against him. He was a friend of my older brother, who also passed away. Pat and he played a lot of softball together back in the day. I was also a volleyball official, when he would play competitively at the Armory. He was a great guy, and I know my brother and his friends have a seat at the card table.”
