He is survived by: his wife Gloria Good; his sons, Lawrence Henry Smith (Lorrie) and Theodore William "Tedd" Smith (Missy); his grandsons, Benjamin Joseph Smith, Jacob Daniel Smith and Linus Tanabe Smith; and his niece Jean Ann Fitts (Al).
He was born in Springfield on October 30, 1936, to Lawrence William and Elizabeth E. (Parkinson) Smith, both of whom preceded him in death.
