It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ledora Jane Alinger of Springfield, Illinois, born in West Frankfort, Illinois, who passed away on April 5, 2023, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Sharknas and Ann Sharknas (Schrum); her husband Lawrence E. Alinger; and her brother John Richard Sharknas. She is survived by: her children, Dennis E. Alinger of Springfield, Brent Alinger (Mary) of Scottsdale, AZ and Ruth Ann Day (William) of Chatham; and her grandchildren, Jennifer (Andy), Michael, Nicholas, Luke and Kaylee. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
