It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Leonard August Windau (Springfield, Illinois), born in New Douglas, Illinois, who passed away on September 14, 2019, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his mother Alma Windau (Schoen). He is survived by: his wife Sandra Lee Jung; his children, Rhonda Lee Windau of Springfield and Ronald Leonard Windau of Springfield; and his siblings, Irma Machuga of Staunton, IL, Elaine Milcic of Staunton, IL, Marvin Windau (Jean) of Staunton, IL, Myra Poeling (Paul) of Staunton, IL and Maynard Windau (Gladys) of New Douglas, IL. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church.
