Though his name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Leroy leaves upon the hearts of his loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of his spirit and the richness of his legacy.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Lillie Mae Daniels (McDaniel) and Harry Flake; and his brother Jackie Daniels. He is survived by: his wife Merrill (Robinson); his son Tim Garrison (FL); his siblings, Eugene Daniels, Nora Gilmer and Lorraine Lathan (Mitchell); his aunt Roberta Rhoades; and his godchildren, Marci Kristoff (Oak Lawn) and Ryanne Glasper (Maryland). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, as well as great-great nieces and nephews, cousins.
Visitation was held on Saturday, May 23rd 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Union Baptist Church (1405 E Monroe St, Springfield, IL 62703). A funeral service was held on Saturday, May 23rd 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
