It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Lula Mae Klespitz of Springfield, Illinois, who passed away on April 10, 2024, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Emmitt Hewitt and Grace Hewitt (Painter); her husband Albert L. Klespitz; her siblings, Linda Hewitt and Emmitt Hewitt, Jr.; and her grandson Andy Wicks.

She is survived by : her children, Ruth Ann Wicks (Gene Harter) of Kincaid and Tony Klespitz (Nancy) of New Berlin; her grandchildren, Amy Fromme of Franklin, T. J, Brian Wicks (Jennifer) of Rock Island, Katie Wyzard (J. T.) of Taylorville and Becca Coontz (A. J.) of Pawnee; her great grandchildren, Tyler Ferguson, Hallie Ferguson, Aidan Fromme, Ian Mullins, Melanie Brigman, Annalise Wicks, Tatum Wyzard, Meacham Wyzard, Allie and Maci Coontz; and her brothers, Harry Hewitt of Springfield and Pat Hewitt of Edinburg. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 16th 2024 from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the Staab Funeral Home - Springfield (1109 S 5th St, Springfield, IL 62703). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 16th 2024 at 12:30 PM at the same location.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
