It is with sadness that the passing of Marie A. Cole (Springfield, Illinois) is shared. Marie, born on November 14, 1942, passed away on October 31, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Brown Springfield and Crettie Mae Bond; her husband Buel Cole; her children, Oreather Dye and Brian Keith Cole; and her grandson Marcus Taylor.
She is survived by: her children, Felicia Ann of Decatur, Kenneth Cole of Decatur and Denise LaShawn Cole of Belleville, Illinois; her grandchildren, Nicole Carey, Nathaniel Goforth, Adriane Cole, Jordan Wills, Kendall Wills and Derrick Taylor (Ashley); and her siblings, Lydia Short, Joseph Springfield, Jean Fuller, Calvin Springfield and Brown Springfield II. She is also survived by other relatives and dear friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 14th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Antioch Missionary Baptist Church. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 14th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
