She was predeceased by: her parents, Owen Scillitoe and Ruth Ester Scillitoe (Hayward); her former husband Warren G. Harding; and her grandson Drew Pier. She is survived by: her fiancé Joseph Todd Crist of Springfield; her children, Kenneth Buck of Koneohe, Hawaii, Dawn Spain of Springfield, Margaret Roberts (Jamie) of Springfield and Lisa Harding (Glenn Baugh) of Mechanicsburg; her sister Linda Sexton of Springfield; and her grandchildren, Michael H. Emerson Jr., Amanda Emerson, Erin Lamar (Joseph), Ashley Ribaudo (Giovanni), Anthony Harding, Steven Behl, Blake Behl (Danielle) and Summer Spain. She is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren; and many close relatives and friends.
A burial will be held on Friday, November 27th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Camp Butler National Cemetery (5063 Camp Butler Rd, Springfield, IL 62707). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 28th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Marian Banquet Hall (335 S 4th St, Riverton, IL 62561).
