He is survived by: his wife Linda Steinhour; his sons, Doug of Springfield, Jeff (Cortney) of Edwardsville and Nathan of Houston; his granddaughters, Emersyn and Reese; his brother Rick (Jennifer) of Alton; and his brother-in-law Bill Steinhour (Beth) of Glenarm. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

“Linda, Rick shared with me about Mark's health over the past few years. It's sad to hear of his death, but knowing the effects of dementia (from my father's death), death can also be a blessing. While Brenda and I lived in Springfield and were at SSBC with you and Mark, I remember him as being "larger than life". He was outgoing, confident, bold, and friendly.
