He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Buckmaster and Evelyn Buckmaster; and his brother Don Buckmaster. He is survived by: his children, Adriane Buckmaster, Michael Buckmaster (Rachel) and Brianne Barr (James); his grandchildren, Emerson, Preslie, Londyn and Joslyn; his girlfriend Donna England; his sister Diana Baker (Jerry) of Texas; his nephew Shane; and his niece Megan.
