It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mark S. McDermont of Springfield, Illinois, who passed away on September 26, 2025, at the age of 62, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph "Mac" Jr. McDermont and Betty J. McDermont (Doll). He is survived by: his brother R. Michael McDermont (Barbara) of Springfield. He is also survived by two nieces; and one nephew.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 6th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Butler Funeral Home – Springfield (900 S 6th St, Springfield, IL 62703). A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, October 7th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
