We announce the death of Mark McDonald of Springfield, Illinois, who passed away on October 16, 2026, at the age of 68. Mark will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his father Robert D. McDonald; his son Jacob Scott McDonald; and his siblings, Roy McDonald and Ann Otten. He is survived by: his mother Mary Olga McDonald of Springfield; his son Christopher McDonald (Jessie Garrett) of Madisonville, KY; his grandchildren, Aydan McDonald and Lila McDonald; and his siblings, Robert McDonald (Jane) of Hattiesburg, MS, Patrick McDonald (Odette) of Biloxi, MS, Charles McDonald of Springfield and Teresa Flesch (Michael) of Springfield. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
