With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Marvin W Doerr of Springfield, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 19, 2026 at the age of 90. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Marvin W Doerr to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his parents, John Doerr and Emma Doerr (Anders); his siblings, Harlan Doerr, Norris Doerr, Harold Doerr, Myron Doerr, Dennis Doerr, Dorothy Liibbe and Fern Kremier; his sons, William, Salvatore and Daniel Doerr (Carie); and his son-in-law Tim Wessel.

He is survived by: his wife Lillian Shermer of Springfield; and his children, Julie Farnen (Virgil), Rhonda Wessel, Darla Ridenour (David) and Dellis Doerr (Jessica). He is also survived by seventeen grandchildren; twenty-two great-grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions may be made to Bethlehem Lutheran Church, or Menard County Food Pantry.
