She was predeceased by: her parents, James Lyman B. Irwin Sr. and Helen Margaret Irwin; and her siblings, Richard Gay, Floyce Robinson, James L. B. Irwin Jr. and William.

She is survived by: her sons, George Edward Tinsley III and James Michael Tinsley (Lynn); and her sister-in-law Doloris Irwin. She is also survived by five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
