Michael A. Costa Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Michael A. Costa of Springfield, Illinois, who passed away on August 5, 2025, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugene C. Costa and Bernadette Costa (Quinn); and his siblings, Elizabeth Kapnick and Eugene E. Costa. He is survived by: his siblings, Martha Elafros of Tucson, AZ, David Costa (Sharon) of Springfield, IL and Edward Costa of Decatur, IL; his aunt Sallie Ineich of Louisianna; and his uncle Jim Quinn (Ginger) of Pueblo, CO. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 8th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church (1725 S Walnut St, Springfield, IL 62704). A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, August 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, August 12th 2025 at 9:45 AM and at 10:00 AM.
