It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Michael A. Nation Sr. of Springfield, Illinois, who passed away on January 4, 2021, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo E. Nation and Annie Sims Nation; his wife Barbara Nilhas; and his siblings, Norman, Everett, Donald Nation, Sandy Nass and Diane Shellhammer.

He is survived by: his son Michael A. Nation, Jr. (Pamela) of Pleasant Plains, IL; and his granddaughter Sierra Nation. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association or the VFW Post 10302.
