He was predeceased by: his parents, Virgil Mathews and Roberta Mathews (Pugsley). He is survived by: his wife Melissa Sitter; his daughters, Courtney Ferriell (Robert) of Springfield and Lindsey Lahniers (Sam) of Springfield; his grandchildren, Ellison, Adalynn Ferriell, Christian, Alayna and Nora Lahniers; his siblings, Julie Harris of Cedar Rapids, IA, Ed Mathews (Kathy) of Loudon, TN and Robbie Mathews (Beverly) of Morton, IL; and his brother-in-law Scott Sitter (Tina) of Clarksville, TN.. He is also survived by three nieces and three nephews.
